Helmet SR580 w/visor

SR 580, together with the battery-powered SR 500, SR 500 EX, or SR 700 fan and approved filters, is included in Sundström powered air-purifying respirator systems. The breathing hose on the helmet with visor is connected to the fan unit, equipped with filters. The pressure generated inside the visor prevents particles and other contaminants from entering the breathing zone.

SR 580 can also be used with the SR 507 compressed air unit. This combination forms a breathing apparatus designed for continuous airflow, intended for connection to a compressed air source. See the separate product brochure for SR 507.

The equipment can be used as an alternative to filter respirators in all situations where filter respirators are recommended. This is particularly suitable for heavy work, high temperatures, or long-duration use.
